Another interesting offering from Mongozo. Not particularly good, but interesting enough to warrant a taste. Toasted nut and caramel flavor. Some light carbonation and a bit astringent at the end. Tried with the parents at Addis Ababa off the Vondelpark in 2012.

Bottle. Orange colour with a ton of floaties and a small white head. Vinous, candy, sugar aroma. the fish in this bowl did not want to go to the bottom, so lets see how fish taste. Vinous, fruity, dry, light acid taste. Medium body with a light dry sweet fruity finish. I have hear many bad things about this beer, but I think it´s kind of ok.

Strong in flavor and a lot of sediment. it is completely stupid to sell such beer in small bottles because all in all, 1.5 dl beer can be drunk from such a bottle, but it is probably sufficient.

Kind of a flat beer, no real sensation to the mouth. Very flocky in the bottle. Drinking it in its cup doesn’t show those flocks anymore of course. Smell of the palmnut is quite clear. Only to drink in its setting: at the very least, there should be much sun and pretty girls in straw skirts ;-). But then again, many beers would go in that setting.

Bottle 33cl @antipode Paris. A clear golden orange beer with medium head. Nose is on agrumes. Aroma is fruity, very sweet, syrupy, dry grapes, better than expected but too sweet.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and sweetish aroma, fruitiness, some caramel. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, faint fruitiness and caramel. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, faint fruitiness and alcohol. Sweet and lightly fruity, lacks the hoppyness, really nothing interesting here…

Pretty much almost a pilsener. Thank god I don’t really taste palmnut or coconut or some other weird thing they’ve used in some of their other beers. This one at least is a decent beer.
