2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at Pasar Malam, thus combined with Indonesian food probably taste better than when drank on it own. Out of bottle, thus hard on color. Somewhat thick beer, bit too sweet.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Still, brilliant gold with a fine ruff of suds. Lightly buttered pine, honey, some thistle-like hop aroma. Soft and vaguely herbal on the tongue with stale, cardboard-like hops, a shandy-like impression, buttered toast, popcorn afters. The aroma is surprisingly hoppy in a Germanic way once it gets going with good sappy, grassy notes. Reasonable crap lager somewhere between drinkable and enjoyable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Straw color with large foamy head. Cidery aroma with some vegetable notes. Pleasantly bitter at first but palate just sort disappears and leaves a bit of a cardboardy taste. I think perhaps the Belgians should stick to what they do best, and leave Pilsner beers to the Czech and the Germans.
