Formerly brewed for Inlet Brewing Co. (ex Jupiter Brewing Co.) by Orlando Brewing Co., now by Thomas Creek.

This unique copper-colored ale derives its fruity, slightly spicy aroma from authentic Belgian Abbey yeast. The subtle nutty and malty sweet flavors sing in harmony with the freshest organic hops vailable. Monk In the Trunk devotees are known to chant about its most intriguing quality, true drinkability.

A dark amber color with a small head, nice caramel and bread flavors! , could mot taste the difference between this organic beer vs other ambers, but it is a very nice beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle poured into shaker pint. Crystal clear copper in color with a foamy white two-finger head that recedes to a thin cap. Aroma is of fruity yeast, caramel malt, bread, and grass. The taste is sweet with caramel, bread, apple, and biscuit. Only a slight bitter grass note comes through in the swallow. Medium-light body, thin texture, above average active carbonation, sweet finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle at a random Bonefish near Fort Lauderdale, 7/25/13

Aroma: The nose is boozy and malty, spice, earth, seems a little off
Appearance: This one pours an amberish color with an average sized off-white head
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose with malty and boozy flavors
Palate: The body is medium, it doesn’t have a great drinkability, and it has an odd finish
Overall Impression: I thought this beer was a little higher in ABV. Anyway, it wasn’t a favorite for me. It really just felt flawed on the whole.

Opens up like a canadian pilsner at first. Then the aroma of spices and fruit expand out of the mouth of the bottle. There is no foam head at all and the color is ner brown. The taste is sweet with no lingering effects of spice. You can almost taste a slight dash of cinnamon near the end.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2013 Light amber/red colored pour. Small white head. No lacing. Grainy malt aroma. Roasty malt flavor with a grainy note. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
