COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly brewed for Inlet Brewing Co. (ex Jupiter Brewing Co.) by Orlando Brewing Co., now by Thomas Creek.

This unique copper-colored ale derives its fruity, slightly spicy aroma from authentic Belgian Abbey yeast. The subtle nutty and malty sweet flavors sing in harmony with the freshest organic hops vailable. Monk In the Trunk devotees are known to chant about its most intriguing quality, true drinkability.

Bottle. Has a clear light amber colour. Not a lot of flavour in this one, some metallic-y citrus, and a little lacking in carbonation.

A rather light pour, light amber color with a light head. Aroma is fine with a slight musty smell combined with maybe something citrus. The taste is light with medium carbonation. There’s not much to it overall. A hint of citrus and fruit. Little after-taste. Not my favorite amber however it goes does fine on a hot, Florida summer day.

Bottle. Pours out a darker red color with a tan head on it. Smell is fruity and contains some malts as well. It is pretty easy to drink with a little bit of a sweetness to it. Not bad, but not really memorable.

Bottle. Sweet and lightly toasty nose. Minty/floral notes - wha? Clear, pale transparent orange with a sudsy white head. Crisp and lightly toasty, has some orange peel highlights, subtle mustiness, and a quenching medium, juicy body. Really, really enjoyed, refreshing and different.

Clear orange body with an off white foam. Aroma is metallic, nutty, light caramel, thin. Taste is much the same, a tinny malt, light toast and caramels.

was recently in florida and went to the office in delray beach where they had monk on draft - omg it was terrible! the bartender highly suggested this amber and said it was a local florida brew but in reality it was created in florida but actually contract brewed in south carolina - the brew itself wasnt balanced well - the nose had a light malty aroma , the body was extremely light & the taste itself was very bland & just didnt finish well - first and last taste was all diacetyl - dont waste your money

Copper colored beer with a fading head and no carbonation make a flat looking beer. The aroma has a sour banana and lemon smell with a slight honey smell. Lacking a pronounced hops note but a trained nose can catch some. The beer has a sour taste to match the smell. Salt was the main taste characteristic. The organic method behind the beer leaves out the desired taste. There was not much else to remember about this beer besides the kitchy name.

I really like Belgian beers, but I’ll make an exception for this one. Nothing worth bragging about. Not a lot of taste, kind of a wuss of a beer. Little on the nose, little to distinguish itself on the palate. Lots of good Belgian-style beers in the world - don’t waste your time on this one.
