COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ERIC HALL WAS ONE OF OUR TWO WINNERS OF OUR FIRST HOMEBREW CONTEST. HIS DRUNKEN MUNKEE SAISON IS COMPLEX, DECEPTIVELY STRONG, AND DELICIOUS. WITH OVER 80 POUNDS OF HONEY, 7 POUNDS OF GINGER, AND 30 POUNDS OF BLOOD ORANGES, THIS RECIPE REQUIRED A LOT OF TIME AND PATIENCE WITH GETTING THE INGREDIENTS JUST RIGHT. WHAT WE ENDED UP WITH IS A BRIGHT, REFRESHING GINGER AND ORANGE SAISON WITH A LOT OF CHARACTER. ERIC CAME UP WITH A GREAT RECIPE AND THE BEER WAS ONLY SUCCESSFUL WITH HIS HELP. THIS MUNKEE WILL GET YOU DRUNK, SO TREAT IT WITH RESPECT.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a dense white. Lots of phenols on the nose. Clove, coriander, and pepper spiciness with a lot of bready sweetness. A light floral hoppiness, a touch of grass, and some yeast aromas. The flavor is quite sweet. Heavy on the bread and biscuit flavors. Strong coriander and clove with a bit of white pepper. Slightly fruity with notes of banana, orange, and peach. Some lemon zest, a light tartness, and yeast on the finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy gold with lace. Nice citrus and ginger nose. Nicely spiced. Crisp citrus and ginger flavor with spice and a nice clean finish. Sweet spicy ginger is lovely. Soft palate. Great stuff.

On tap at brewery. Clear medium yellow with a fizzy white head. Good sweet fruity orange and barnyard aroma. Sweet malty fruit juice taste with notes of orange grape pear pineapple and apricot and an earthy grainy and slightly spicy ginger bread finish with a silky bright palate. Very good.

It features a tasty interplay of blood orange and ginger. Usually these types of beers don’t come out nearly this tasty.
