3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16oz can pours clear copper with near white head of foam. The aroma is sort of floral and a bit spicy with a hint of malts to maybe biscuit malts. The taste follows suit with fairly bold floral hop notes that have some firm bitterness but remain too floral for my particular taste. Behind the floral notes murmurs some spicy hops that grow to a decent level bitterness to midway and into the finish accompanied by a bit of biscuit like maltiness. Yep, too floral for me but good beer though.

Can at Brewster’s LAX. Deep copper-amber color with a fine, low head. Malty caramel nose, citrus, peach or apricot, nice fruit. Rich full malt flavor, creamy and tasty but not sweet. Tangerine and apricot, grass. Very bitter finish. Very full and drinkable, also original. Nice stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer is a hazy orange color with a tall white head. Really surprisingly strong oatmeal aroma. The hop profile is mostly citrus peel and pine with a nice breadiness to it as well. A hint of grass toward the back end. The flavor also has realy impressive amounts of oatmeal character. Lightly bitter from the pine and citrus peel hop notes, but leaning a bit toward the sweet side of things. I really enjoyed how much the oatmeal came through on this beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16oz can. Pour is fairly faint gold with a decent amount of head. Fairly benign nose of bready malts and light fruit. Taste follows the nose. Oatmeal is subtle but there. Clean on the back end. Nothing earth shattering but certainly a good sessionable brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16oz can courtesy of HH84 after the one-off canning run. Thanks!
A: Aggressive pour yields a thin rim of head. Body is polished copper in color. Glides off the side of the glass.
N: Crisp oats and a very balanced amount of hops. Citrus and faint hints of pine. Biscuity. Some banana? (Insert lame pun here.) Nothing too off base.
T: Balanced. There’s a lot of oatmeal here, which I’d consider to be a plus, and the hops are propping up the malt base. Earth and evergreen needles. As this warms a little, the alpha acids have a more pronounced bittering effect. Solid.
M: Medium body with a lingering aftertaste. Properly carbonated.
O: I’m drinking this after doing battle with the trees in my lawn, and it’s a refreshing change of pace. More aggressive than something like SNPA, but also more well-rounded in my opinion. Pints up.
