COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All hail the Rich Mans IPA! A bold copper-colored beer with beautiful gold edges, and crowned with a strong white head. The aroma is grassy with a nice orange and malt presence. The mouthfeel is smooth and solid, with malt that backs up the sticky bitterness. The taste is pine, citrus, and a light malt sweetness that all interplays with the alcohol. Hops, hops, hops, and more hops! Occupy a bar stool, the 1% of beers has arrived!

Draft at the brewpub - San Diego. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma has spicy pine, jammy citrus, some dry orange rind. Medium sweet flavor with bready pale malts, bitter and spicy pine, ripe citrus, hints of marmalade, dried flowers. Medium to full bodied with fine, chewy carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, somewhat resinous, more pine, florals and rindy citrus. Pretty drinkable.

On tap @ Monkey Paw: Poured in a Chimay Trappist glass as a dark golden honey with a tiny layer of film head on top. The aroma is moderate with a decent scent of citrus hops. The flavor is intensely bitter with citrus and tangy spicy hops that carry this impy IPA through. Good beer.

Super strong double ipa on tap at the brewery, part of sampler, strong hoppy piney taste.

Tap at Monkey Paw. Clear golden pour. Good white lacing. Nose is sticky, some noble rot grape, vanilla oil. Interesting- different. Taste is clean, juicy, tangy. Wicked bitter hop body. Holy monkey.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft, Brussels.

Thx! To Antoine. Sampler draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Amber with a creamy white head – enjoyable lacing. Nose is sweet malt, yoghurt (light), sweet sugar, caramel malt, light fating grapefruit hops,… Taste is sweet malt, light caramel, touch yoghurt, sweet sugar, herbs, light yeast, very light grapefruit,… Touch fuller body. Indeed somewhat infected but not heavily. Drinkable.

It’s dark in here in Small Bar in central San Diego, so appearance appraisal may not be entirely accurate. Seems a hazed golden orange with a short antique white head. The bouquet is comprised of grapefruit and soured milk (but not in a bad way, if you can imagine). The mouthfeel is a little thin. There are some interesting esters in the flavor making it unique. Grapefruit, perhaps something a little greener too. A grape? Not my favorite.

From can to thimble. Clear dark amber color with ivory sheen. Tropical, fruit, dank kona bud, marshmallow aromas. Medium to full body with average co2. Rich, heavy, bittersweeet caramel, alcohol, pine, citrus hoppy flavors--big dipa

Sampler at the brew pub. Dark golden with a nice medium white head. Nice big floral nose, Tasty was malty, well balanced, medium bodied a bit on the thicker side, sticky to the mouth. Over all a very good one.
