COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All hail the Rich Mans IPA! A bold copper-colored beer with beautiful gold edges, and crowned with a strong white head. The aroma is grassy with a nice orange and malt presence. The mouthfeel is smooth and solid, with malt that backs up the sticky bitterness. The taste is pine, citrus, and a light malt sweetness that all interplays with the alcohol. Hops, hops, hops, and more hops! Occupy a bar stool, the 1% of beers has arrived!

Pours hazy amber with a nice white head. The aroma brings sweet grassy hops, a bit perfumey bit nice. The flavor of delicious sweet hops with some light perfuminess on the tongue as it settles. Very pleasant overall!

On tap at Hamiltonís. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. After having so many west coast hop bombs this week I feel like Iím getting desensitized to them. Monkey Paw has provided me with another. The aroma is potent with tons of hops, more pine leaning with pineapple notes. Mouthfeel is not too heavy, just full bodied enough to convey the double IPA message. Plenty of hoppiness is present in the flavor as well with lots of pine, citrus and a long zesty finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is solid hoppy. Crisp bitter, mango and peachy. Smooth sweet, solid hoppy leading towards a more dry and bitter finish.

Tap @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich flowers, caramel, bitter hops and malt. Long bitter finish.

On tap at brewery. Clear goldenish brown with a thin creamy white head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Robust floral caramel grapefruit lime and cereal grain taste with a lightly acidic finish and a decent bitterness.

On tap @ Monkey Paw: Poured in a Chimay Trappist glass as a dark golden honey with a tiny layer of film head on top. The aroma is moderate with a decent scent of citrus hops. The flavor is intensely bitter with citrus and tangy spicy hops that carry this impy IPA through. Good beer.

On tap at Urge in Poway as part of a Monkey Paw night. 9 brews on tap from them. Crystal clear orange-amber pour with lots of dense eggshell head that becomes a blanket of lace. Nose is sweet fruity hop goodness. Bit of mid-high citrus. Taste is high sharp hop bite up front to long lingering bitterness. Creamy hints in the middle are quickly overwhelmed. Nice.

Can from Bine and Vine. Pours copper with a slight white head. Aromas of brown sugar, resin and citrus. Full bodied with significant carbonation. First impression is brown sugar, then resin and citrus. It finishes pretty darn bitter, always with that lurking roasted malt background. Damn tasty ale. Enough hop to preserve flesh.

Tap at Monkey Paw. Clear golden pour. Good white lacing. Nose is sticky, some noble rot grape, vanilla oil. Interesting- different. Taste is clean, juicy, tangy. Wicked bitter hop body. Holy monkey.
