COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Following the traditions of Belgian Noel beers, Magnificat is our first offering of a Christmas beer. Like a Belgian-style strong dark or quadruple ale, this dark beer has a rich, silky malt profile of caramel and roasted malts, rye, and oats, and reveals complementary accents of dark stone fruits and spices from our Belgain yeast. And to create that liquid-Christmas experience, the beer is spiced with clover honey, sweet and orange peels, coriander seed, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour. Aroma is dark fruit and spices. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Medium body. Enjoyed this one. Well put together and not cloyingly sweet or too heavy in body like a few other Belgian darks Iíve tried.

Pretty nice christmas ale, on tap at the brewery, lots of spices, dark, rich, but nice

Very nice xmas beer, but honestly a bit predictable on all fronts. Itís big on the spice, and pours a really beautiful dark burgundy red. The usual stuff: cinnamon, nutmeg, and some clove. Itís not too sweet; big malt backbone. Overall, a really nice xmas beer, although the style doesnít do all that much for me to be honest.

Pours a very dark brown color with a khaki head. Strong spice aromas with lots of nutmeg, cinnamon, and coriander. Big clove notes, too. Moderate roast, lots of dark fruit, and caramel sweetness. Nice citrus, too. There is a well pronounced orange flavor to this and it works nicely with the heavy spicing. Good caramel, mild roasted malt, and some chocolate notes. A touch of alcohol, too.

A really nice winter warmer. Loads of different spices here but well balanced. Nice and mild type of Belgian winter warmer. Pours a hazy brown with a really nice spice aroma.

On tap. Pours with a near black hued body and a tan head. Aromas are strongly of coriander, dark fruits, citrusy, peppery, warming. Yeasty, spicy, some toasted and roasted malts. Very inviting and well balanced. Flavors are of brown sugar, citrus peel, cinnamon, and coriander. Warming malt, woody, a touch rustic. Medium carbonation, dryish finish, warming but the alcohol is still relatively well hidden.
