3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour. Aroma is dark fruit and spices. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Medium body. Enjoyed this one. Well put together and not cloyingly sweet or too heavy in body like a few other Belgian darks I’ve tried.

Medium sweet flavour, with dark and toasted grainy bread, light earthy hops. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with lingering winter spices. Nice overall.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out paint thinner, perfume and tart fruits - a little spice too. Flavour is tart, perfumey and rather nail polish like. Clashing notes and just bizarre. Not good.
