Golden color on pour from tap. Floral and hints of sweet aromas from a small white head. Sweet apple and a bit of bitter notes through the drink with a crisp and very light bitterness on the palate. Amazed for a lager!

Monsho pours a darker yellow than expected. I am a big fan of the Dat Moi lager so I have high expectations for this new beer from Henry. You do get the floral taste but at the expense, I think, of the crispness, of the lager. It is pleasant and the flower aroma and taste is the usual balanced I expect from Monkish but the beer tastes a bit strong to me.

On tap at the source. Clear golden hued pour with a moderate white head. Aromas are spicy and floral with a medium malt character, somewhat hoppy, clean. Flavors are clean, soft malt up front, floral medium hoppy character with a rather strong (a bit too assertive) bitterness in the finish. Fuller carbonation, medium bodied. Tasty.

Cloudy golden orange with a white head. Strong floral and herbal aromas. Sweet malt, fruity esters of pear and apple. A touch of grass, spicy hops, and some bread. The flavor is sweet up front with bread and fruity esters. Spicy hops, flowers, and herbs. Light bitterness to the finish. Maybe a touch of grass.
