COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian-style dry-hopped pale ale.
(French: "for you") This is for all the hopheady patrons in our tasting room asking for a hoppy beer. However this hoppier beer is of course in line with our monkish ethos -- a pale ale with Belgian caramel malts and bittered, finished, and dry hopped with only earthy, floral, spicy euro-hops.

(Draught) Pours a clear copper body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of florals, caramel, citrus, grass, and earth. Flavor of caramel, yeast, florals, melon, earth, orange, and pepper with a dry finish.

The beer is a cloudy light amber color with a white head. Aroma is of citrus, mostly orange with a hint of tangerine. Quite a bit of grass, some bready malt, and yeast. Maybe a bit of spice. The grassiness is more pronounced on the palate. Still some citrus, but more along the lines of orange peel. Its a bit on the bitter side for my tastes. Light malt character, just some bread, and the same light yeastiness.

On tap at the tasting room. Pours with a crystal clear golden-peach hued body with a lasting, just off-white head. Good lace. Aromas are spicy, hoppy, marmalade, stone fruit and a bit grassy. Some toasted malt notes, light peppery phenols, medium esters. Flavors are grassy, caramel, toasty malt notes, estery, medium herbal. Low citrus and a touch grassy. Just a little bit too sweet and full for what I was expecting. Lightly sweet malt character, light minerals, medium bitterness. Lively bubbles, dry and relatively crisp.
