Murky orange amber with a moderately appointed light beige covering that soon dissipates.
Nose is sweet toffee, bread pudding, light booze, grain.
Taste comprises toffee fudge, brown sugar, sweet licks.
Medium + body, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close.

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours hazy orange with a frothy, off-white head. Hugely sweet with some bread, rich fruits, jam, alcohol, caramel, stewed berries. Full bodied with fine carbonation and chewy mouthfeel. Warming finish with gooey sugars, ripe fruits, dates. Hefty and tasty.

Bottle. Murky orange, no head. Booze, sugar, red berries, honey. Medium body, oily/sticky texture, near flat carbonation, close to heavy sweet with little bitterness. Sugary and boozy.

Bottle at RBESG, 2014’s Grand Tasting at the Moncada Brewery. Cloudy orange pour with a white head. Heavy malt nose with a splash of caramel. Sweet toffee and orchard fruit flavour. Interesting.

RBESG pt 18. Moncada. Grand tasting. Very hazy amber beer, no real head. Smooth dry palate, turning crispy. Sweetish caramel malts, vanilla streak. Tangy fruits with brandy and madeira tones. Dry warming finish. Tasty.

Bottle drank during RBESG; hazy dark amber pour with a small beige head, aroma is fruity taste, taste has sweet caramel, dark fruits, sugar, apple, only a hint of spice and yeast you’d expect from a saison.

Bottle at RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. It pours murky pale brown with minimal head. The nose is earthy, wood, coconut, vanilla, must, caramel, light spice and orange peel. The taste is sweet, boozy, candy, toast, wood, coconut, vanilla, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, leather, varnish, hot cross bun and brandy with a boozy finish. Full body and low carbonation. Plenty going on, but a bit chewy and boozy.

Bottle - Sweet light brown sugars, light malts, syrup and some bread. Murk copper with no head. Lots of caramel sweetness, raisins and a long similar finish. Very rich and decadent, but more of a Barleywine like beer.

Bottle grand tasting RBESG14. Hazy amber no real head. Sweet aroma. Sweet in mouth. Kinda ok when toffee calms down. Ok.
