Bottle @ Benzai. Hazy amber colour with no head. Smells like a barley wine, sweet, hay, fresh, hops, caramel. Tastes like its smells. Lovely sticky sweetness, some pine, round taste, some wood and cognac. Quite an amazing beer. Full body, soft and slightly silky, soft carbo.

Hazy amber brown color, small white head, Smells like aged dark Belgian: raisins, dates. Medium to full bodied. Caramelly, alcoholic, very sweet, dark fruits. Tastes like very aged barley wine (and homebrew).

Bottle @ fonefan berliner weisse, cream ale multistate tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, sugar, cheese, vanilla, malt and hops. Definitely a barleywine and not a saison.

courtesy of Per - cloudy dark amber-orange beer with no foam; aroma of apple, caramel and molasses; pretty sweet and full-bodied; pretty oxydized; lot of residual sweetness, caramel and prune in the finish

Benzai (7211) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2012
25cl bottle @home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy dark orange to red color, no head just a slight lacing that disappears quickly. Smell wood, lightly alcohol, lightly sweet, some influences of liquor. Taste lightly malts, some liquor, sweet, lightly alcohol. To me this is a barley wine. But whatever, it’s a very nice beer! Full body, low to medium carbonation but it suits the beer perfectly.
