Bottle. It pours a clear-looking dark reddish brown body and a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has a nice berry touch, with lots of coffee, chocolate and dried fruits. Pretty vinous and with a tad too much alcohol. It’s full-bodied and warming with a soft carbonation level. Coffee, chocolate, berries and some raisins in the flavor, as well as booze notes and a little bitterness. Lasting finish. Sure a pleasant one, quite complex too. 140418

Lite spretigt va. Syrliga fruktiga smaken är det första som slĺr en. Sen kommer den dovare choklad rostade stouten in. Först ratade jag den. Sen efter halva glaset älskade jag den.

Palate was full bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, light charcoal and a hint of cherry with a smooth dry lingering roasty finish.

Bottle 330ml (WPBF)
Deep brown color, small brownish head. Cocoa, roasted aroma. Full-bodied. Very roasted, coffeish, cocoa flavor Some alcohol.in the finish. Good elements here but kind of harsh too. Maybe cherry doesn’t work?

33 cl bottle @ wPBF’14, no BBE info
Aroma is sweet with vanilla and cocoa. Also some coffee notes. Flavour has peat, ash, some tobacco and salty licorice. Also some tart berry juice notes which I first thought was placebo – but then I took another look to the description text. Hel & Verdoemenis ruined with cherry juice.
