RBESG pt 18. Moncada. Grand Tasting. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and dry, mild fine carbonation. Rich dark chocolate malts. Spice and touches of soy and coffee. Warming finish. Not bad.

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours oily black with minimal head. Big and sweet with peat smoke, thick chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with strong roast, bitter charred earth, decadent chocolate, burnt toast. Really good stuff.

Scopey (6667) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle at RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. It pours near black with asmall, dense tan head. The nose is rich roast, earth, salted caramel, big dark chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. The taste is bitter, rich roast, earth, dark chocolate, mild acidity, dark fruits, some jam, light soy sauce and more chocolate with a smooth finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Decadent.

Bottle shared at the Rate Beer European Summer Gathering on 09/08/14. From slightly brief notes…Pours dark brown. Big sticky dark fruit aroma. Soy, treacle, chic, coffee... There’s a dryness to it despite the stickiness. It’s OK.
