Bottled: Black with a small but firm head. Aroma is coffee, smoke, charcoal and lots of salty licorice. Flavour is more salty licorice, charcoal, not so much coffee but instead there’s some toffee and chocolate. warming finish. Well made and balanced.

Draught at SBWF 2010 (Snickeriet - Monks Cafe). I think it was RIP3 I tried. It poured a very thick black liquid with no foam. Very intense flavour of chocolate and coffee. Also a very high sweetness. A lean back and sip beer.

Deep brown-black in color with thin off-white head. Roasty chocolate aroma. Thin-bodied but nice chocolate-roast flavors...not bad.

250 ml bottle from Sweden with much thanks to omhper. With an aggresive pours it cascades into the glass. Black with a huge brown head. Aroma is salt, coffee, smoke, charcoal and licorice. Taste is more salt, licorice, charcoal, toffee and chocolate. Nice smooth palate. Well made and balanced. A great desert beer.

250 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours dark reddish brown with a small gray head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace. Smell is sweet with chocolate, vanilla, prunes, alcohol, wood, dark bread, resin and hints of citrus. Taste is sweet, tart and bitter with ripe grapes, toasted malts, chocolate, alcohol, raisins and hints of coffee. Mouthfeel is vinous, tiny tart and full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny sour and tiny dry with bitter chocolate, lemon zest, roasted malts and coffee. great nose but with a taste that leaves you disappointed.

Fantastisk doft av choklad och russin. Mycket fin smak av det samma samt kaffe och toffee. Tyvärr lite tunn vätska och lite svag eftersmak.

Very dark brown with a tiny, tan head. Malty with roasted tones. Malt, coffee and some sourness. Full body with a long, bitter / sour finish.
