COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A ruckus of complex flavor is carried in on the amber glow of torchlight. As tension builds between hop bitterness and the malty tones delivered by locally grown and malted grist, a perfect balance is achieved. The robust texture of rye allies itself with the flavors from specialty malts and hops to rebel against preconceived notions of beer. Unseat the crown. Start a Riot.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a nice one finger frothy beige head that left some nice lacing. The nose is pretty nice, a great balance between the earthy rye notes and the moderate floral hop notes Thinking there might be a bit of crystal malt in here, but not positive just from the nose. The flavor doesn’t appear to be featuring it though. It’s one of the more unique rye beers that I’ve had. It’s not overly earthy, just a little bit of that rye bread towards the finish. The use of the floral hops is a nice choice as well, rather than attacking the flavor profile with an overly citrusy and grapefruit like intense bitterness. Light to medium bodied, on the drier side, with soft gentle fizzy carbonation. This is a pretty nice beer.
