COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A ruckus of complex flavor is carried in on the amber glow of torchlight. As tension builds between hop bitterness and the malty tones delivered by locally grown and malted grist, a perfect balance is achieved. The robust texture of rye allies itself with the flavors from specialty malts and hops to rebel against preconceived notions of beer. Unseat the crown. Start a Riot.

I really enjoyed this. Aromas of citrus hops. Flavor was a hop punch with a nice bitterness in there from the rye. Finished dry. Very enjoyable.

Big citrus here. Pours cloudy orange with good head and lacing. Creamy consistency. Light to medium bitter finish. Poignant rye aroma. Tap at Meridian Pint.

Crisp, lightly malty with a nutty base and hints of grain. Light citrus zest, bread, yeast, and a light earthiness. Hops through the finish are light and not overpowering, but just enough bitterness to announce their presence. Smooth and well balanced.

Cloudy amber with a thin head. An intriguing aroma of citrus fruit and sweet malt combine for an orange vanilla Popsicle. The flavor has a bit of the citrus and some pepper. The finish id dry and very smooth. Very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice aroma, but pours really cloudy. Nicely fruity, yet a drying aftertaste. Drinkable but some flaws.

Murky bronze appearance with an average size beige head and decent lacing. Rich, grainy aroma highlighted by the rye and accented with resinous hops. Solid malt backbone allows the assorted hop characteristics to shine thru to the aftertaste. Medium to full bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Enjoyable, well made example of the style.

Bottle. Substantial pour of solid amber, thin but frothy head. There’s a firm and thick aroma on this. And, wow, this drinks with some oomph. This is a big-time dish with a meaty grain-heavy backdrop, then finishes off with a ruddy, earthy hop bite. Exceptionally flavorful! (#5435, 2/14/2014)
