2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[bottle from Visp]
Spicy melanoidny malt aroma plus some fresh noble hops. Murky orange brown with a quickly descending off-white, bubbly foam. Sweet and spicy malt flavour that seems a touch under-attenuated. Healthy dose of herbal and spicy hops flavour together with a medium, almost pungent bitterness. Smooth and sweet, with moderate carbonation and a spicy, slightly bitter finsh.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear amber with quickly disappearing small white head.
Aroma is sweet caramel, malty and some floral hints. Taste is sweet malty, hoppy and bitter, a little alcoholic towards the end. Carbonation is quite high. Aftertaste is malty and bitter.
Too sweet for my taste, although it seems that they’ve tried to balance it with bitterness.

Bottle (Danke nach Kreuzlingen!): Hazy, amber coloured, lots of floaties visible, medium-sized - sloly collapsing - off-white fluffy head; sweetish-caramelly nose with a light, but distinctive hoppy background;; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a subtle fruitiness and a light bitter aftertaste. A tasty brew, no doubt.........

Sampled in Zurich. A really refreshing brew, drinks incredibly smooth. Pours decently dark amber with mild head. Full of good caramel flavors but not much else. Worth a try.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy orange color, small off-white head. Candy sugar, orange peels and cardboard in the nose. Medium-bodied, even a bit on thin side. Sweet jelly at first then hoppy bite and banana with some candy sugar. Very strange bock. Somehow Dutch like, also lemonady feeling here.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2009 500ml bottle (Poirotti Kallio, Helsinki)
Rich brown. Lagery aroma, but certainly big and malty, a touch marmitey too. Pleasant esters, but quite simple. OK bock, nothing special.
