3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From 750 ml bottle. Pours a perfectly clear gold with a small white head that collapses to a collar. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of apple, lemon, banana, white bread and a bit of clove. Taste starts off with light apple juice before a lemon zest bitterness comes through. Light banana and clove at the end, before a fairly clean finish. Gently fruity and spicy aftertaste. Not bad at all.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Big white foamy head over a golden, very clean body. Simple grainy aroma, bit floral, white bread. Light bitter, crisp, icy ;-) Not much to it really. It’s okay but extremely uninteresting. (33cl bottle from La Cervoiserie Limoges)

Super sweet aroma, really fruity and fizzy. Not my type of beer at all. Buy it for the cool bottle.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Gift from the Scotsman. Slightly hazy, thin gold pour. Notes of fruit and orange. Body was thin and finish tasted of tin. Ehhh.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From a 750ml bottle on 28/8/2013. Pours a clear yellow with a small head which disappears quickly. Has a slight fruity, yeasty aroma. Flavour wise, it begins with a touch of bready malt, followed by a mild sweet fruitiness (mainly apple), and a bit of Belgian style yeast. Has a fullish body and lively carbonation. Not terrible, but pretty bland.

Not a big blonde ale fan, in general, but this beer was really refreshing after a day in mountains of Chamonix.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is one of the best I have ever seen. Rivals duvel very much so. The smell is nice, it is vibrant and peppery ,hint of licorice spice and citrus. The flavor is nice, bready, touch of hops, slight metal, licorice. Licorice is cloying a bit in the finish but it remains fairly crisp. I like it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy yellow. Small white head. Anise and orange peel aroma. Body is thick and filling and flavor is malt and anise. Finish is bitter, creamy orange. Remember, its still a "beer" though... not dessert.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle bought at YATA in New Town Plaza, Shatin.
Clear piss pale golden yellow colour; Half finger head and white foam which last for about 30 seconds; Small sticky lacing with lively carbonation; Strong aroma of malt, grapefruit, bread, light wet cardboard and light floral; Light, sweet taste of strong malt, bread, orange, coriander, light wet cardboard, very light chalk dust, lemon, light citrus and faint grass; Medium body, pretty oily palate; Taste profile is dominated by strong bready malt with a slap of witbier-like orange and coriander, all wrapped under a fairly light but conspicuous cardboard / chalky background; Hoppiness is good floral smell, fairly weak citrus taste, and almost non-existant bitterness. Finish is all bready malt; Dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: Taste a bit like the Echigo Blonde but with full-on bready maltiness, plus Belgian White herbal elements mixed in for good measure. Bold but overstated and undone by the wet cardboard, it’s worth trying if you are curious in exploring the spectrum of Blond Ale, but nothing more.
