Draft at Blind Tiger with PDaddy. Pours a thick, deep murky reddish brown body with absolutely no head. Aroma is faint fruit and a ton of sweet caramel malts and bread. Mouthfeel is short with notes of stale bready malts, dust, and light fruit.

Bottle. Amber color. Plums, citrus and caramel in the aroma. Sweet sticky caramelly citric flavor with some grassy notes. Drinkable.

Bottled 330ml "Mont-Blanc La Rousse" (BZ, BB 07/2013, alc, 6.5%)
Deep ruby color, small steady white head. Berryish aroma, slightly caramelly, hints of "dish water". Medium-bodied, active carbonation but weak palate. Flavor has also caramel, berries, some alcohol, very typical "Biere de Garde" taste. A bit boring beer.

Ambrée à mousse moyenne. Arômes caramélisés avec des notes florales et terreuses. En bouche, elle a des accents sucrés d’orge avec du rôti, du fruité, une amertume terreuse. Cela donne un bel équilibre douceur-amertume. Une bière de Garde aux accents d’English Strong Ale.

Biere tres moyenne. Ne vaut pas la note attribuee par le site. Peu de gout, les aromes ne sont pas prononces pour une biere rousse... C est du folklore !

Tastes very much like a basic nut brown ale. No head to speak of, and very mild in both taste and aroma. Fairly unremarkable, actually.

Tap. Pours clear amber/ruby with a faint trace of head around the rim. Aroma is white wine, cookie malt, floral hops, honey, and light grassy notes. Flavor is sweet malt forward with supporting fruit esters and faint hops; sweet finish. Medium body, low carbonation, and low warmth

Tap. Pours clear dark amber with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is caramel and cookie malt, cellar notes, dates, some floral and earthy notes. Flavor is malt dominant with light fruity esters, cellar and earthy notes with light hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
