3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. High fluffy and long lasting white head. Hazy amber body. Banana dominated aroma with notes of apples, pears and honey as well. Sweet fruity flavor with a dry malt straw note, fair amount of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish. Alcohol well hidden by the sweetness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
33c bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy amber with a big white head that lasts, leaving fair lacing. Nose is caramel and bananas, and the taste is malt, caramel, and toffee. Finish is medium length, with a creamy mouth feel. A typical Belgian amber, but a little light on flavor for the style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle, a while back. Bit like the toffee and spiced oranges version of Chimay Rouge: a stickier mouthfeel covers most of that earthy, proprietary yeast’s subtler spice, but allows enough hop counterbalance to shine through, hiding its alcohol well enough. Still not really in the same league as the other trappists.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber-orange with large beige head. Fruity aroma with oranges, peaches, flowers. Taste is caramel, yeasty, a bit of spice, a slight bitterness. Light mouthfeel. A mild, pleasant trappist that is refreshing and not cloying but that will have trouble standing out when compared to its brethren.

Zeer lekker biertje, net zoals de andere bieren in Chimay gebrouwen, een aanrader om eens te proberen

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drank this after a knackering day at work, really needed a crappy lawnmowner beer just to down for some bog standard refreshment, but had only this; I’m glad I did as this was a treat that probably deserved more considered respect from me; in the five minutes it took to drink I noted burnt sugar, sweet citrus and characterful yeast aplenty; well-balanced and really enjoyable.
