3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4655) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2012
(Bottled, from a Chimay glass) Hazy amber with a medium, frothy and lacy head. Quite mild aroma of caramely malt and dried fruit. Even some alcohol when warmer. Flavor is dark-fruity, caramely-malty, quite like Chimay Red, but feels more bitter and dry, less complex, and slightly harsh. Medium body, quite foamy and carbonated palate. A very basic Belgian ale - clean, but not very interesting. 4435
