3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jookos (761) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 1, 2013
Bottle .75. Amber reddish. Amber candi, bready malts with a lot of chimay-y yeast. Feel a lit like the chimay red, but a bit sweeter. Body is medium thin. Lots of yeastery notes. Bready malts, dry. A bit light. Quite nice. Lots of candi yeastery goodness on nose, but a bit light on the palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Borresteijn (3646) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 1, 2013
33cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. Clear deep amber colour, thin off-white head. Aroma of sweets, candy, like La Trappe yeast, light malty, hint of toast. Flavour is sweets at first, later more dry, malty, light toast and a little roast, light fruity, raisin, bitter cocoa finish, dry mouthfeel throughout. Light-bodied, prickly carbonation. If this wasn’t a Trappist-to-be this beer would’ve gone by unnoticed.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (7496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 31, 2013
330ml bottle (Viisi Pennia, Helsinki)
Nice perfumey aroma. Slightly raw malty body. Clearly belgian, but a tough unbalanced. Full body, but harsh carbonation. Yeasty. Finish dry and earthy. Too raw. Could be much better after a few years aging.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MacMoney (735) - Alabama, USA - MAR 28, 2013
UPDATED: APR 5, 2013 Bottle L12-813. Pours an auburn amber with a large and thick, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is spicy, dried and fermented fruit as well as caramel. With swirling, you can also detect marzipan and light ethanol. Taste is surprisingly dry and perhaps even a bit thin. Grainy and caramelly. Some floweriness as well as fruitiness. As it warms up, some caramel and marzipan becomes stronger. Bit of an ethanol flavor on the finish. Not what I expected.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mjs (3609) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 24, 2013
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 2014, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20130324) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were caramell, malts, Belgian style yeast, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was yeasty, malty and bitter. Nice and bit hoppier Belgian ale. Aging might soften the edges but that wouldn’t necessarily be a good thing.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Barrelbelly (504) - BELGIUM - MAR 23, 2013
Dark orange, brown with small head. Malts and yeast aroma. Slightly sour but sweet taste.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mutz (293) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 22, 2013
Amberkleurig, veel kraag die wel redelijk blijft. Aroma van voornamelijk mout, vleugje zoet fruit. Smaakt vrij bitter met wat zoetfruit tonen en mout. Niks bijzonders.
