Hazy amber color with rich, persistent head. Rich, phenol-like Belgian yeast in aroma along with fruit compote. Flavour is slight nutty and toasty in the background. Belgian yeast very present. Suggestions of caramel and apricots. Medium bodied and well attenuated. Very elegant beer.

Bottled@Monks Cafe, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Slightly hazy orangeish amber colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, spicy and some mild alcohol. Flavour is quite similar in a very nice balance. The mild touch of alcohol complements the rest of the beer very well.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JLDC (15) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 15, 2013
Colour: Amber with a thick white head which blocks a lot of the aroma.
Nose: Fruity (plums, raisins), sweet malt. Toast and coffee biscuits.
Flavours: Sweet, mellow with a fruity flavours like banana and mandarin.
Turns into sweets like candy, butterscotch or licorice. Very easy to drink. No hint of alcoholic strength.
Finish: Medium, a slight bitterness of the hops. Not extremely balanced.
Verdict: Nice, accessible Trappist, but not quite on par with most of the authentic Trappists out there. Quite expensive, as well.

Irony aroma, copper color, foamy, almost soapy head. Tingling finish. This could seen as a true trappist. Bottle from De Schans.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Kosmokrator (304) - ITALY - JUN 9, 2013
