Almost clear dark amber beer, pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Rich malts that never get stodgy. Caramel - toffee, slightly dark and bitter. Thin malt cream. Nice spicy marmalade on the back end. A savoury vibe develops along with a little aniseed. Semi dry spicy finish. Nice barleywine, it’s full of flavour and has some muscle but remains light.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A brown earthy beer, opaque, with a medium white head ; average retention. Aroma of caramel, spices, herbs, overripe fruits (prune, grape), alcohol. Heavy sweet, warming but I can still feel some wind ; medium dry bitter. Full body, medium oily texture, good carbonation, warming sweet finish, herbal note. Overall, average brown appearance, delicious, balanced power.

bottle, thanks to baerwaldt for sharing. reddish shade of brown with no head; aroma of red berries, custard and cocoa powder; plenty of alcohol showing and sweetness but in an endearing way and with a good hit of bitterness; some beeswax in there as well

Deep brown with no head. Aroma is a bit buttery. Thin for the style. Lacking much flavor at all just a bitter finish.
