Bouteille 33cl, BB 04/2014.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is dry and very roasted like. Aroma is on dark malt, high roasted touch, slightly astringent, no fruit notes, dry, not bad but quite basic.

Bottle at 2nd tuesday tasting. Pours dark brown/black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, some coffee and molasses. Taste is roasted malts, coffee and some chocolate with a dry and light bitter finish. Bit thin and not very outspoken, but quite nice for the low abv.

Bottle. Pours a light black beer, small tanned head. Aroma is fresh ground coffee, roasted malts and light molasses. Not too heavy. Flavor is quite big for a low abv beer, roasted, sweet and has a dry finish. Very decent.

Niksko (109) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 29, 2013
Pours opaque dark black with just a tiny bit of brown head that fades quickly. Aroma is really strong coffee and some prune. Attack is a bit of prune, mid palate is clove and a bit of banana as well as dark malts. Mid palate is very Belgian. Finish is more dark fruit and the coffee from the nose. Carbonation is very low. Body is petty watery. Pretty nice, and interesting for sure, but more gas and body would be great.
