Niksko (590) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 29, 2013
Pours opaque dark black with just a tiny bit of brown head that fades quickly. Aroma is really strong coffee and some prune. Attack is a bit of prune, mid palate is clove and a bit of banana as well as dark malts. Mid palate is very Belgian. Finish is more dark fruit and the coffee from the nose. Carbonation is very low. Body is petty watery. Pretty nice, and interesting for sure, but more gas and body would be great.

Countbeer (5982) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 27, 2012
Bottle: Quickly changing into a thin lacing, vanilla beige colored on top of a black colored beer. Smell is fruity, berries, grapes, chocolate, light ash, light coal, Taste chocolate, bitter, espresso/black coffee, roast, some barley roast. Aftertaste is a bit dry with some bitters, roast, roasted barley malts and chocolate. Low cabo, soft light watery but smooth mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy light watery texture. Decent beer, but thin but for 5% alcohol, quite ok.

Benzai (12760) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Pitch black color, small brown head that leaves a slight lacing. Smell malts, toast, lightly roasty, coffee, earth. Taste toasted malts, earth, a hint of smoke, lightly bitter. Medium body, a bit low carbonated, but it suits the beer. Nicely balanced, quite like it.

Bottle @ Benzai. Pitch black oily with a small light brown head. Smells oatmeal, roasty, some chocolate, some coffee, fullgrain bread. Strong smell for its abv. Tastes oatmeal, cornflakes, slightly roasty in the aftertaste. Some chocolate but not very strong. With more abv this beer would be pretty amazing. With this abv its not at all perfect since its a bit thin, but still it’s quite a good beer if you ask me.

Bouteille 33 cl du Mazot d’Antoine - Annecy (F).

erickok (5170) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 11, 2012
Deep brown body and light brown lace. Quite some smoke, cacao, toasted white bread and little hops. Roasted malt taste, dry and balanced. Flavourful for a 5% stout for sure. Quality over experimentation or crazy ingredients. Tasty. (33cl bottle)

Idiosynkrasie (6173) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2012
330ml bottle. Black colour with small, creamy, moderately lacing, beige to brown head. Roasty and salty dark malty aroma with a touch of salami. Taste is roasty dark malty, dry to bitter hoppy, prickling carbonation adds its part to the dry character. Not overly complex, but straight to the point.

Leighton (18030) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours dark brown with a small, creamy beige cap. Dirty, earthy roast in the nose, some dry cocoa, very subtle coffee notes. Light sweet flavor, dirt, some crisp minerals, dark toast, modest baking cocoa. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Lightly drying to finish, more baking cocoa, mineral quality, burnt leaves, restrained earthy bitterness. Well rounded stuff.
