Bottle shared by Tom. Black brown pour with thin head that disappears. Aroma is so peaty and smoky. Ouch. Taste has a thin silver lining of sweetness, but apart from that all is peat, smoke and iodine. Like the best of the worst scotches. Palate is pretty average, medium bodied and averaged carbed. Not very easy drinking.

Bottle (330 ml). Dark brown with a small beige head and little lacing. Aroma is heavily peated with light caramel and hints of floral. Taste is also heavily peated with light sweetness and a tad of caramel. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Sticky finish. Unbalanced and straightforward. No complexity. The peat take all the place.

Kita (977) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy black color with small creamy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of smoked bacon, smoked sausage, leather and hints of rubber. Taste starts with heavy roasted malt, follows strong smoky and fresh grainy, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. That’s the smoke I really like...

Ultra spécifique comme bière, elle pote bien son nom, un peu dure à prendre au début elle sé libère vite pour apporter son arôme, peut être pas assez forte

@borefts 2012 the sourness and the peat is clashing big time... it’s light and even a bit watery

From tap at moeder lambic Saint-Gilles. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma is peaty, phenol, smoke. Smells like someone poured Laphroaig in my glass. Taste has light sweetness, some bitterness, roasted and smoked flavours and again a very strong peaty taste. Really strange brew. Not sure if I like it or hate it. But that’s my problem with Islay whisky too. At least unique, intense and bold.

Bottle from erzbierschof - deep black color, medium beige head - peated aroma - peated flavor with hints of black malt - medium body, vanishing carbonation, medium bitterness, medium peated finish - really good, i like peated whisky and this beer is really well peated. Good job

Bottle at home 8th September 2013. Quite a smokey little number, little too much iodine, aroma is smoke and bacon. Taste is smoke, quite nice, palate a little thin and some heavier carbonation. A little like Buxton, smokey and the bandaid, but not as good

Bottle from La Bulle Grenobloise Dark coffe-like black, with smoked aroma and taste. Not too strong though, but enjoyable. Mt Saleve Brewery is clearly at the top regarding the french brewing scene
