Appearance with black color and minimal brown head. Toasted malt aroma with raisin and cacao notes. In the mouth, it is bitter and sweet. The 9% alcohol is not so noticeable.

teddybeer (2577) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 14, 2015
Black color with a minimal and quickly diminishing light tan head. Aroma has notes of roastd malts, strong licorice and black coffee with burnt wood hints. Flavor is slightly bittery, roasty, notes of coffee beans and ashes with a high presence of black chocolate and some black fruits. The final is slightly bittery, easy to drink in spite of the high ABV of alcohol. Roasted malts notes on palate with long duration.

Beer pours black with dark brown foam. Smells alcohol, chocolate and coffee. Taste is first very soft but whole, chocolate, coffee, licorice and then alcohol kicks in. Very nice beer!

On tap @ Haandfest 2014. A deep and dark brown one this with him a small sidesticking brown top. On the nose it has a really nice cocoa dryness with chocolate and some dark strong espresso. Slightly ashy as well. Nice. In the taste it has a sharp coffee acidity mixed with lot and lots of coffee and cocoa. A tad mouthdrying indeed, lots of wood and cocoa. Feels thick and only in the mouth and it has a soft prickling carbonation carbonation level. Yeah, it’s quite nice this stuff! 24.05.2014

Jet black. Firm creamy choco head. Clean dark malts to the nose. Soft and rounded with mild roast and coffee/chocolate. A hint of higher alcohols. Healthy body, easy on the palate. A distinct roastiness in the flavor. Yet fairly smooth and rounded, like the aroma. A good amount of bitterness, both from malts and hops. Finishes malty with a roasty bite. Straightforward and tasty. [Enjoyed from a 0.33 l bottle]
