1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
355 ml bottle - Monte Carlo is quite hard to describe. Firstly I’ve had water with stronger tastes than this but despite its lack of taste, non-existent aroma and palate it is actually refreshing. Sampled twice now in 27-34c Guatemalan heat, it is really refreshing. Perhaps looking at it purely from a domestic market it makes sense, and on top of this it is actually sold as a more premium alternative to the mainstream Gallo. Having said that the Gutemalans I’ve asked prefer either Gallo Ice or Moza to Monte Carlo.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Better than Bud or some of the other adjunct/corn lagers. Better than Corona. I had it from a can, so no light fouling.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Color amarillo palido, buena carbonatacion. Poca espuma e inestable. Ligero aroma a lupulo. Sabor ligero a malta y lupulo. Cuerpo muy aguado. Seguramente refrescante con mucho calor (como agua carbonatada). Botella @ hardrock cafe en guatemala.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Another random lager from a random developing country, so what else is new? This one has pretty much no aroma, there really is nothing there. The appearance is a boring yellow but at least there is some head. Flavour is bitter hops with some grassiness. It’s harsh on the finish. This is a poor excuse for a "premium" lager.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
355ml bottle. Clear gold with thin soapy head. Aroma is of weak malts and sweets?! Very sweet soapy taste with a bitter grassy finish. Not great.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Has a clear light straw colour with a medium, white, whipped eggwhite-like head. Aroma of sweet corn, pale malt, lots of grass and some citrus. More grass in the flavour with hay and pale malt. Has a watery and slick mouth feel, and a very light bitterness. The beer has a strange aroma with an expected flavour.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Green longneck, foil-shrouded cap, bad label. Very pale and clear beer. Not much white head. Corny malt aroma, not hoppy - (not skunked due to the green bottle either.) Unpleasant, pils-type hopping, tinny. Not sweet, a bit tangy. Starchy mouthfeel, malty finish. I liked their dunkler bock better -- this isn’t a bargain at $5.99. Winn Dixie, Magnolia.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear golden color with 1 finger head the quickly dissipates leaving little head. Rich toasted malt with little hop character. Moderate carbonation with medium body and medium finish. Not a bad lager.

33 cl bottle @ vPBF, BBE 12/2012
Aroma has some butter and sewer. Flavour has lots of grainy malt and butter that turns into honey towards the finish. Needs more body and less butter.
The aroma was YÄÄRGH and the flavour was bleh.
