4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
5th beer of Italian Beer Tasting at Finalmente in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is my favorite so far of this tasting. Pours amber and smells spicy and of dark fruit. Tastes of plum and other fruits, its malty with hints of caramel with some hop. really good now this tasting is heating up.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle as an extra. Pour has a deep brown color with patches of white foam and a still look in the glass. Aroma has dark fruit, sweet malt, caramel, and oxidation. I think this bottle may have matured for quite a while after the initial 15 weeks. Mouth feel is medium and there is basically no carbonation. Flavor is heavy to the malted side, dark fruit, heavy yeast, and a lingering finish.

Still, I do not know how to enjoy Demon Hunter. The road is long and harsh, but this beer’s earthy, yeasty character is sometimes overwhelming; a profound warming sensation is not enough to classify it as a satisfying strong ale. Nose is usually messy, taste is sweet and dirty. Like "Rurale" I usually find this overcharged by yeast character.

Corpo medio, carbonazione media, grande beva. Eccellente belgian strong ale, Montegioco si conferma su standard altissimi!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy gold from the bomber with thin white head and no lacing to speak of. Aroma of bready grain, funky yeast, and citrus. Taste is sweet caramel malt, peppery notes, and funkiness. Weird but good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Vendor sampling on this one, rough description. Soft copper brown pour. Malt forward and bready in the nose and slightly candy-ish. Some umami and light toffee flavors come through as well. In general this one was pretty muted and singular, although not unpleasant
