Very hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Cider like nose! Palate is smooth and a little dry. The Calvados barrel dominates here. Sweet ciderish apple, mild woody dryness and a little spice. Tiny bit of malt underneath. Semi dry finish. A very appley beer! In a good way!

Bottle from Star Grocery. Pours reddish copper with a tiny beige head and a strange fermented apple aroma. There is a sweet and sour caramel malt flavor with plenty of ester from the Belgian yeast. The calvados is quite detectable in the finish.

Pours a light mahogany. Great nose, sour with dominating cherries and some fairly noticable apple and brandy. Flavor is slightly more muddled than the original Raptor, this one could probably use some age. I think it just needs to clean up a bit. Basically you have a solid sour hear that just needs some time. Its slightly bitter up front and finishes with a nice cherry sourness and lingering brandy. Solid and interesting sour. Big thanks to Coffee District for getting this super rare gem.
