3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Pours a hazed, simple-looking, light brown body with a sudsy, frothy, off-white head.
Smell: Dark, bready, caramel malts in the nose with no more than a modest touch of blueberries and some light background notes of savory, bitterish herbs.
Taste: Malty tastes of sweet caramel and toasted bread crusts. Of course, thereís the blueberries (still comparatively mild), as well as some marinated raisins for a little addition boost of fruitiness. An herbaceousness arrives midway along with some peppery alcohol hints. Finishes sweetish and fruity.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Fairly soft mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Not bad (itís not exactly worth those exorbitant Italian beer prices, but still)! It definitely goes down fairly easy considering the listed ABV percentage.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy coppery amber color with slight golden amber hues when held to a light source and a huge frothy, pillowy tan head that has good retention, slowly fading into a lasting cap. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind. There is also a good bit of yeast chunks floating around that hurt the appearance score. This is surprising considering itís the first pour from a 750ml bottle.
Spicy hoppy aroma with some leathery malt, dark fruit, blueberry and dark chocolate. The blueberries are there but not dominant and it smells organic rather than like artificial syrup. The chocolate/caramel maltiness is more prominent than expected. Although this is considered a barleywine, it doesnít smell much like one. The alcohol aroma is masked nicely by the other scents.
Earthy spicy flavor with some nice strong alcohol warmth up front with a strong dark fruit presence. There is some nice blueberry flavor but again, it is not overly sweet or overpowering and is accompanied by some plum, raisin and fig notes. Slightly sweet but this is balanced nicely by the spice and malt character. Slightly hoppy with some sweet alcohol and more dark berries in the slightly dry finish.

Hazy Orange, floaters. Small, fast head. Aroma: Fruit, vinegar, yeast. Flavor: Sweet malt, prunes, vinegar. Not great in my opinion. I just donít get into beers with the taste of Vinegar.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle purchased from Buckeye Beer Engine a while back for a nice chunk of change. But they say, a fool and his money are soon parted for good beer. This beer popped open with its weird cap with a bang, I fully expected massive overflow from the bottle and many tears over that spilled brew, but no! it was all for show and even a quick hasty pour gave a moderate-to light head on this hazy amber brew. The aroma is rich and earthy with a good fruity smell. Some plum and dried berry notes are in there, wet hay, candy and brown sugar. Not the most complex aroma, but it is very well balanced and genuine smelling. The one nice thing, is that when this gets a nice swirl around my 20oz snifter, it does some sort of voodoo where the head magically reappears and disappears. Golly, this is some sort of swell wizardry. Its like a tide of bubbles comes from the glass into the center and just open up the aroma with chewy malt and light berry scents. The flavor is odd at first. It like I am being begged to drink lots of this smooth elixir fast, but then there is this fruity bitterness coming through to match. Getting past the bitterness is a very wonderful pineapple, grape aftertaste that somehow makes me forget about the soft malt character that just ran through my mouth. This tastes a little aged, but still quite impressive, since the blueberries only really add some acidic prospects to the palate, not a fruity taste like one might anticipate.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy brownish orange, decent foamy head. Peppry, fruity aroma, with a touch of biscuit or grahm cracker. Very sweet and haevy. Black pepper and bourbon, canít really find much blueberry. Hints of vanilla in the finish. Just a bit too overpowering, really.

Bottled. A murky golden beer with sediment floating around and with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of mlat, fruit, yeast, and citrus. The flavor is very sweet and very malty, combined with notes of yeast and alcohol, that leaves a burn in the finish. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is fruity and sweet with blue berries, candy, malt, and yeast. The appearance is orange brown with a nice head and floating particles. The flavor is like the aroma but slightly bitter. The palate is thin. Overall I like it, the concept is great, and its much MUCH better than a macro blueberry beer but I am not in love with it.
