COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Draco has a dark red color and a persistent head. It is full bodied and has a moderate level of carbonation. The nose shows a great complexity with aromas of honey, caramel and forest fruits. The hops brings out pepper and plum. The initial taste confirms the nose with notes of caramel and initial sweetness. The finish is a fine balance of hops and bitter notes. Draco is produced using a mix of select malts. The beer is fermented three times. During the second fermentation the blueberries are added along with the yeast and malt sugar. The alcoholic content obtained from the fermentation of the malt is of 8.5% by volume, while the final one is 11% by volume.

Unclear medium orange amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, candy, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (300508)

Bottled. A murky golden beer with sediment floating around and with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of mlat, fruit, yeast, and citrus. The flavor is very sweet and very malty, combined with notes of yeast and alcohol, that leaves a burn in the finish. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

Bottle#7: 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with small yeast floaties, little lacing white head. Mild spiced and malty aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel malt with a mellow yeasty note. Light spiced sharpness towards the finish. Mild warming finish with a light alcohol bite. Light bitterness too.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a very hazy orangey brown with floating impurities and a small rough off-white head. Rather confused aroma of yeast, vinegar, diacetyl and prunes - a not so tempting combination. Medium-bodied with yeast, fruit and very unclean diacety. Somewhat astringent finish - perhaps with touches of aniseed and alcohol. Appears Belgian in style - but terribly foul and obviously this is off. 290508

Cloudy brownish color with floating particles, not nice to see. There is some malt and sweet caramel here, a very light fruitiness across it, a strange yeast but leaving positive traces. Quite strange but not bad.

2007-07-22, draught at Bi-Du Beer Fest, 7-5-8-4-15=39
Triple fermentation, one with blueberry syrup.

Cloudy dark amber color, with a purple shade. The aroma is not too strong, with some malt, caramel and yeast fruitness, but also some alcohol and light phenol. Full bodied, quite malty, well balanced between sweetness and bitterness, with a touch of fruit sourness, maybe from the blueberries.
For me, too much strong/alcoholic, but anyway it’s a good Strong Belgian Ale, with some complexity.

(750ml bottle) Pours an amber-brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma of earthiness, blueberries, caramel, and light toastiness. Flavor upfront in tart, then a bit hot with toasted malt as it warms with a dry finish.

Light red brown, sweet malt fruit, little fizz, very fruity up front little sharp little sweet distinct fruit (probably the blueberries) but alchols shows a bit much, little spirit like in linger.

Bottle from GBBF 2012, drunk at home. Cloudy dark brown with lasting beige head. Sweetish raisiny aroma. Quite an attractive aroma. Yes a tasty raisiny oloroso sherry type flavour with just a bit of burn on the finish. Rather good, smooth balanced to be honest. Yep, really quite a tasty refined barley wine. Decent malts.
