COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Draco has a dark red color and a persistent head. It is full bodied and has a moderate level of carbonation. The nose shows a great complexity with aromas of honey, caramel and forest fruits. The hops brings out pepper and plum. The initial taste confirms the nose with notes of caramel and initial sweetness. The finish is a fine balance of hops and bitter notes. Draco is produced using a mix of select malts. The beer is fermented three times. During the second fermentation the blueberries are added along with the yeast and malt sugar. The alcoholic content obtained from the fermentation of the malt is of 8.5% by volume, while the final one is 11% by volume.

The aroma is fruity and sweet with blue berries, candy, malt, and yeast. The appearance is orange brown with a nice head and floating particles. The flavor is like the aroma but slightly bitter. The palate is thin. Overall I like it, the concept is great, and its much MUCH better than a macro blueberry beer but I am not in love with it.

Sampled from bottle at PIB, pours murky dark orangey amber with a small head. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel, dark fruits and a little bourbon - pretty subtle on the nose. Flavour is heavy on orange / tangerine, quite harsh sweetness and booziness. The booze and sweetness cuts some of the complexity. Still solid.

An interesting fusion style with the blueberry. Thick and very heavy. The aroma has blueberry and some balsamic vinegar. Flavor has caramel, sugar, berry, and yeast.

Beer brewed with blueberries. Paper wrapped. 750mL bottle, capped.
Reddish color. Aroma of Barley Wine. Caramelized sugars, dried fruit. Not much blueberry (much like Sweetwater’s Blue Balls). A good bit of alcohol. Flavor of toffee, light bodied.

Pours gold into a snifter. Off-white head wtih good retention leaves no lacing as it recedes. Fruity alcohol aromas. Crisp upfront with slight blueberry middle and a lasting sour finish.

Hazy brown amber body with a small tan head. Sweet caramel aroma. Sweet honey flavor with some light caramel, there’s a hint of blueberries, but its so light that it’s barely noticable.

750 probably from Holiday Wine cellar shared with my gf cyn, kaitlyn and adam. Pours orange with a ring of head. Nose is some what fruity with notes of blueberries. Taste is sweet and fruity. The alc is 100% hidden. I don’t what to think about this beer, its tasty but its no barleywine to me.

hotstuff (3340) - Indiana, USA - MAR 4, 2008
Bottle. Small ivory head that was mostly lasting, no lacing, no carbonation observed, hazy, and an orange brown hue. Nose was caramel, fruity and mildly hoppy. The flavor was sweet, caramel, mildly hoppy and lightly bitter tasting. Tingly mouthfeel and medium body. There was a fruit presence, but I did not detect any raspberries. Not super impressed with this one and there are without a doubt better available of this style.
