33cl bottle. 2012 vintage. Label reads 8.7% ABV. It pours deep dark ruby/brown/ purple with a large beige/ pinkish head. Aroma is sweet with molasses, cherries, light funk and some booze. Taste is sweet and lightly acidic with cherries, red berries, somw caramel and hints of wood. Some alcohol as well. Overall, nice complexity and appreciated the natural cherry flavour. Anyways some more fruitiness and acidity would make for a better beer to me.

Had this during the 2011 Shenandoah Throwdown. Bottle from 2010. Pours a hazed ruby grapefruit color. Toast, sweet malt. Sweet and nutty toast and malt. Malt, warm alcohol, sweet malt. Slow sweet bitterness and nutty toast with a light boozy finish.

Bottle 375 ml tasted @ Karhisma Birroteca (Piedimonte Matese, Caserta - Italy). Pours some cloudy and intense orange with red reflexes. NO head at all, even if you shake up the glass. Aroma... uh, where it is? Should someone call a detective agency? I don’t overdo, simply can’t find notes of anything. Maybe, and SO distant, cherries. But you have to apply to succeed. Anyway. Flat body, something malty and cherries again too. Candy sugar, medium carbonation. Harsh finish, not persistent. Totally anonymous, too bad.

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with no head. The aroma has notes of cherries, and some malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries, fruit, and malt, leading to a dry tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy pale red with a tiny off-white head. Minerally aroma with dry red berry notes - not really distinctly cherry. Medium body, carbonation is a little low, slightly sweet berry fruitiness with a little yeast and phenols. The alcohol is fairly subdued. Not really that interesting, but at least genuine fruit. 190511

Draft at Bir&Fud. Murky purple color, medium white head, solid lacing. Aroma of pepper and cherries. Taste of unsweetened fruit. Very solid.

Tap at Bir&Fud in Rome. Listed as 6.5% abv. Maybe a newer batch? The pour is a hazed, near opaque, dirty, deep red with a giant, yellowish head. Nice retention and webby lace. Aroma is sweet cherry juice box, light vinegar, spice. Taste is tart cherry, juice, cherry pie, cooked/baked red cherries, light alcohol, lemon, key lime tart. Palate is thin, watery. Easy enough to drink, fairly malt heavy and tangy. A surefire chick beer.
