(Bottled, 2007 vintage, thanks colonna!) Hazy red-amber with a smallish head. Very fruity, mildly tart-red-wineous nose with strawberries and cherry. Flavor is also extremely fruity with mild tartness and acidity, strawberry jam, floweriness, notes of cherry, faint bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. An excellently balanced fruit beer.

Head soon gone; red-hazy amber beer. Very fruity, sour cherries, and old cognac. Serious point of acidity. Fruity, lactic-sour, laurel leaf, very dry finish. Dry, dry-out effect, rather light impression because of the acids; Liked it at least as much as the Barriquée version, even when that makes it more spectacular, short of better.

33cl bottle. 2012 vintage. Label reads 8.7% ABV. It pours deep dark ruby/brown/ purple with a large beige/ pinkish head. Aroma is sweet with molasses, cherries, light funk and some booze. Taste is sweet and lightly acidic with cherries, red berries, somw caramel and hints of wood. Some alcohol as well. Overall, nice complexity and appreciated the natural cherry flavour. Anyways some more fruitiness and acidity would make for a better beer to me.

Draft at Bir&Fud. Murky purple color, medium white head, solid lacing. Aroma of pepper and cherries. Taste of unsweetened fruit. Very solid.

Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Fantastica, Montegioco non sbaglia un colpo!

Batch G 2007, 9% ABV
Cloudy orange-amber color; big frothy head; indeed there is a lot of carbonation in the bottle. Strange aroma, fruity flowery and soapy, strong. Good body, good Strong Ale, with some sugars; there is a light fruity character, soapy too; at the end, in the low bitterness, there is a light impression of liquorice. It’s a very good beer, but the soap touch puts me off (6-4-7-3-13=33)

Give it some times, the soap aroma goes away, and leaves the place to a hint of honey and herbs. Still solid mouthfeel and flavor, but not enough bitterness (7-4-7-3-14=35).
