UPDATED: OCT 1, 2011 bottle/shared@Chez Moeder Lambic – 2008 Vintage (???): hazy, neon yellow with a vanishing bubbly head, taste is tart & sour lemons + white grapes mixed with less dominating sweet white wine, lots of barnyard funk, lots of lactic, bit musty, light bitter aftertaste, plenty of horseblanket, slightest hint of oak

A: The pour is a lightly cloudy golden straw color with a rather large white head.
S: Quite lactic and tart with only a mild funk to it. Nice grass notes with some lemon peel, white grapes, and green apples. There is just a little bit of oak and must to it, too.
T: Pleasantly tart with notes of lemon and green apple. A slight sweetness of white grape and wine. Light earthy funk with grass and straw, a touch of must and oak. Just a touch of acetic acid.
M: Medium bodied with a pretty high level of carbonation.
O: Gotta say, this was impressive for an Italian beer. I’d actually consider having this again.

Thanks Manuele! Hazy gold, large bubbled white had. Huge citrus brett nose in pineapple, saddle, and oak, light vanilla and manure huskiness, fantastically complex stuff here. Very light pineapple sourness in the flavor, white grape skin dryness and oak tannins. Drying, balanced brett, with moderate carbonation and a very light profile. Would love to try this next to an early Castleton.

Never had this kind of smell before, it surely smells like some cloths soaked in a sewer, disgusting aroma. Completely not comparable to the musty aroma of a Geuze for example, just plain dirty this one... . Flavor has luckely not the flavor of in sewer marinated cloths but is very unilaterally with only some sourness and a lemon touch. Dry finish
It surely smells like a mummy, that’s all I can say about it....
