Six months in a Barbera wine barrel give time for this beer to be eaten up by the yeasts living in the wood, maturing it and rounding it out. Pleasantly sour, a great mixed fermentation beer.

On tap @ arrogat sour festival 2016. giallo dorato, lievemente velato schiuma bianca, fine poco persistente. Aroma intenso, vinoso, legno, pelle di salame. acido lattico. Gusto meno acido di quanto l’aroma lascerebbe intendere. Secca, non molto amara, speziata con legno e terrosa. Grande equilibrio quasi gentle sour, armonica, poco corposa quasi nessuna carbonatazione.

Draft at Ma Che, Rome. Clearish orange-gold. Soapy string. Funk aroma, earth and gourd. Tart sip, good tart funk. Wine wine yeastiness. Rounded, balanced in a way. Special tart character. Yeast-wild funk. I love it.

Bottiglia 2011. Colore giallo ora con una schiuma assente, aroma di malto, legno e varie note di vino, in bocca scorre molto facilmente con un buon bilanciamento tra l’acido e il dolce, sicuramente invita ad un altro sorso. Ottima sour.

Bottle premiered for start of football season hoping to make rating 2800 but I fucked up and it’s 2801. 2011 vintage Pours flat orange yellow with tart nose of lemons and wood. Tastes of lemons, pears, apple skin, wooden barrel, barnyard, some candy sugar. Tart palate. Enjoyable thanks again Alberto.

Bottle. 6.5%. Best before 31.03.19. 10 cl. sample. Pours a pale, hazy yellow, with a fast-disappearing white head. Dry, sour aroma, with a horse blanket note. Well-balanced. Flavour is dusty and sour, but with a light sweetness to it as well; almost sugary. Horse blanket note. Fruity as it warms. Dry finish with an orange peel-bitterness. Overall nice and well-balanced, but has a somewhat stale feel/overtone to it. 01.05.15.

Bottle share at VBC. Slightly pale yellow almost no head. Slightly acidic aroma, some yoghurt. Highly drinkable beer, not as sour as most in the style. A little on the sweet side, but the acid balances it out.

VBC 2015. Almost clear yellow of color. An aroma of vinegar, sour and weak wet dog. A flavor of acetone, sour, sweet and weak candy.
