A belgian ale with "Volpedo Peaches" (well-known peaches from the town of Volpedo, near Montegioco) added during fermentation.

My 100th Italian beer rating since joining this august group. 750 ml bottle. Pours cloudy pale orange, small edge head. Aroma of sour peaches and citrus. Taste is a sour and bitter combo, evened out by the fruit. Hi carbonation. Very tasty, and would be great on a hot summer’s day.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of peach, light tart fruit, and Brett. Poured yellow/gold in color with a tiny, white head that disappeared very quickly. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of peach, malt, apricot, and water. Medium body. Tingly, thinish texture. Average to lively carbonation. Malt, peach, and water finish is lightly dry.

Ottima

Pours amber with a thin white head. Smells of peaches, perfumy, dry, earthy. Tastes of light peaches blended with some dry malt and a nice tartness to balance it out. Enjoyable.

Muddy peach color. Texture of a light wine. Lots of floral fruits in the nose. Very delicious. Rated 8/4/08

Keg (Bir&Fud, Rome)
Orange-yellow, cloudy. Sharp, almost sour, peachy aroma. And that’s real peach, not just some lame artificial flavouring. Surprisingly watery palate, but by heck this covers 7% amazingly. A bit thin on the finish, disappears too quickly, and has no staying power. Nothing wrong with it though, and better than many Belgian fruit beers.
