BuckeyeSammy (354), New York City, New York, USA Jul 11, 2008 Nicely balanced fruit beer. Tart with lingering peach notes. I think by watery, some people were describing this beers somewhat thin palate.
jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Hazy pastel yellow-orange with a nice white head that fades. (3+) Nasty sweat socks is my first impression, floating over a lovely sweet syrupy peach character that develops into a lightly funky peach overall. Tart-sour flavour mellows into sweetish fruit, nondescript peaches, very light funky-musty character throughout. Brief hint of bile-like acidity might be imagined but is off-putting regardless. Tart wheat like hints. Average to thin palate. This probably would have come off as more refreshing had it not followed an IPA filled afternoon, but its a bit of an odd-duck regardless. Bottle, Village Beer Merchant, Buffalo fonefan (4328), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 11, 2008 Bottle 75cl @ [ Mafioso Blind Tasting @ yespr, Bottle #13.] Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate hoppy, citrus shell, fruity - peach. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finsh. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (300508) thornecb (1033), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Aug 10, 2008 Pours pale yellow into a tulip. Little to no head. Sour peach aromas. Tart thin peach upfront with a spritzy malt finish. Refreshing. kiefdog (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2008 75cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy caramel-ywllow with a fizzy white head that settles quickly. Little lacing on glass. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty, with notes of sweet, ripe fruit, banana, and a slightly wheaty and yeast smell. Flavor is decidedly buttery and peachy, with hints of popcorn, toffee, and herbs. Light to medium body with a slightly tangy sweet finish.
