COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The mellow malt in this Imperial Pilsner is married with a clean sharp bitterness from a blend of four hop varieties. Crisp and refreshing with a touch of delicate noble hops to linger on the palette.

(Bottle) Average to below average beer. Golden colour white head that dissapear pretty quickly. Malt, fruit and cumin in the aroma. Sweet and fruity taste with very light bitter background. Week bitter finish with hint of the alcohol warmth. Medium body and high carbonation. There are some hints of real imperial pilsner, but not enough for me.

Bottle. Pours light straw colour. Smooth mouthfeel with malt and surprising hop presence. Light and enjoyable, but not overly interesting.

Bottle - pours pale gold with a big white head. Aroma is skunky with some cereal malt. Some sweet need up front and a very mild dry finish, not much to it. Mouthfeel is thin to medium.

Monteith valt over het algemeen tegen. Ze weten heus wel te brouwen maar is naar mijn idee gebrouwen voor een groot publiek. Alles is erg vlak van smaak. Niet echt craftbeer te noemen.

Bottle from Plonk. Clear gold/amber, solid white head, grainy/biscuity, (I got cornflakes too, omega), mild bitterness for an imperial pils, a bit boozy but not overly so, pleasant enough but nothing special.

500 ml bottle at Chapel Bar. Pours golden with a good head. Aroma is of malt. Taste is like porridge with a bitter aftertaste.

Thanks to Caro for this birthday present. Looks handsome in the glass with its bold golden hue, large fluffy slowly diminishing head and rich lacing. A little weak on aroma at Monteiths recommended 8 degrees; floral hops, caramel, biscuit, citrus, cardboard, bandaid. Moderately sweet, moderate to moderate-heavy bitter. Alcohol numbing palette [sic] creamy almost lightly chewy. Second half paired ok with a Baigan bhartha Indian curry. One of the best Monteiths I have had though nothing to rave about here. Couldn’t help but add this: pal·ette /ˈpalit/ Noun A thin board or slab on which an artist lays and mixes colors. The range of colors used by a particular artist or in a particular picture. Synonyms pallet
