COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

33 cl bottle @ Cosmic Comic Cafe, BBE 23.03.2015
Aroma is very sweet with fruit candy and caramel. Also some pineapple juice. Flavour is very sweet with glue, resiny tones, caramel, toffee candy and some odd metallic savor. At the end of the glass toffee candy tones take over. Oversweet IPA with some west coast wibes.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 23 Mar 15, at Cella, 20141214) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, startch and grass. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, metallicness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A thin and boring pale ale.

Bottle. Amber clear color with a white head. Dry crisp and malty aroma with vegetables, some citrus, syntetic dishwasher lemon. Sweet taste, low to medium soft carbonaion. Taste has a nice but low note of lemon & grape initially and a balanced and lasting bitterness. Hints of toffee and biscuits and cooked vegetables.

Flaska på Tybble pizzeria. Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Metallisk doft. Lätt beska med lite maltsmak. Tråkig och platt.

Bottle from Beer Cafe Ueda. Monteith’s IPA 5.5% 35 IBUs It pours a bit of a flat looking brownish gold with a soapy head of foam. A fruity nose that has a rough earthy graininess to it. The taste is caramel, rough grains and a bitterness that is a bit tannic and green but mostly neutral in flavor. A 1990s style British IPA that has been lobotimized removing most flavor and character leaving an insipid malty sweet lightly bitter bland beer. Drinkable but not what anyone in 2014 would expect from an IPA. Boring but not terrible.

Smells and tastes more like a lager than ipa. But has some slight fruityness to it. Enjoyable lagerlike beer but mediocre.

0,33l bottle from Viking Gabriella. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is malts, fruits and alcohol. Flavor is malts, metallic alcohol, a hint of fruits and some hops. Decent, but a bit disappointing.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small but lacing off-white head. Aroma has some malt, toast and woody hops. Flavor is medium sweet, light malt with a rather harsh bitterness and little fruitiness. Feels quite unbalanced and messy, not particular nice. Unbalanced in body as well, rather thin. Might be a bit old, but still within best before date.
