There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Amber, rocky head, slight haze. Floral hop aroma with a delicate herbal quality. Earthy bitterness like old cascade, with caramel malts, light florals.

This beer is not an IPA iand s closer to an APA without the nice citrus notes. No real aroma but is nice on the palate which is probably the most redeeming feature of this ale. It pours well with a good head and i enjoyed the bitter finish.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours orange with a two finger white head sorting on top. Goes massively downhill from here. Can’t smell any hops. Closer to stale bread. Taste....no hops. None. Fucking shithouse sums this beer up

One of the beers I drank while going through my conversion to real beer. At the time I really enjoyed it. This time though I’m struggling to find anything in it and I’m wondering just how fresh this bottle is. It is a small step above the average mainstream swill, but it IS a step in the right direction, I’ll give it that.

Little to no aroma, smells closer to a larger. Strong malt flavor with little hop flavor at all. Perhaps a more traditional ’IPA’ that lacks character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500mL bottle. Pours golden with a small white head and a slight grass/toffey aroma. Slight citric hint with a toffee like backing but nothing special at all. The beers label/description was promising but it did not deliver.

Dark gold pour with thick, soap bubbly head. A little caramel aroma and very mild fruit but quite weak. Taste is quite sweet, brown sugar, very little bitterness. Tastes a bit thin, a bit disappointing.

Aroma. Smells mainly of caramel with some slight hoppiness. Appearance. Pours a nice earthy red colour. Taste. Toffee and bread flavours really some to come through here, though with not too much sweetness, considering the lack of hoppiness i wouldn’t really call it an ipa. Overall. I bought this beer wanting to try a new ipa, whilst bean a good beer it certainly doesn’t deliver in the ipa department.

Reddish hue with big bubbles in size. Malty to taste with some sweetness. Nice beer indeed.

Bottle courtesy of Falco242, who was good enough to bring it all the way back with him from New Zealand. Fruity aroma with a hint of hops. Hazy amber with visible carbonation and a thin ring of off-white head. Flavor is on the dry side which makes sense considering the low ABV for an IPA. Although the commercial description refers to the beer as a pale ale...odd when the beer label calls it an IPA. Nice, lingering hop finish with some breadiness. Better as a pale ale than as an IPA, although in both cases it is fairly unbalanced in favor of the hops. I’d rather it be in that direction if it’s going to be unbalanced. Still, all style characteristics aside, it qualifies as a pretty good session beer with solid amount of hop bitterness.
