There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Very average, definitely not an IPA, or the kind I was expecting. Lacking in hop flavour and depth.

Is this even an IPA? A complete lack of typical hop aromas and lacking in flavour. A mild bitterness on the finish but overall a very poor example of an IPA

Pale ambar colour with a thin head. Fruity aroma with soft hop. Too much light for an IPA, too much simple. Fruity taste with medium hops and sweet unfortunate notes. Not a good beer at all. Just, pass...

From 500 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of light apple, white bread and lemon. The taste is gently crisp like white grapes overlaying gentle malt. Can’t detect any distinct hop flavours, much less IPA characteristics. Clean finish with a light citrus finish. Aqueous body with a tin mouth feel. An OK thirst quencher, but no way is this an IPA.

Bottle from 1st Choice. Clear copper, 2cm frothy head, quickly dissipated, strong metallic aroma/flavour, some grassy hops, a bit peppery, but spoilt by the metallic tang.

Nose of banana bread, cinnamon, some sultana & light dried fruit, light pepper, some golden syrup, some alcohol present too. Pours nice, lovely colour but not what I’d normally associate with an IPA. Nice white head, disappearing slowly. Struggled with the taste, had just had an IPA with more IBU. Alcohol present despite only being 5.5% ABV. This was very hazy, couldn’t see my finger through it, as I tipped the last of the bottle in it was quite yeasty. May have been an "off" batch or bottle even, but it certainly caused an exciting nose. Most exciting thing about this beer was the nose.

This is not what you think of when you think IPA. This pours like an IPA. Good copper colour with decent head, perhaps a bit light on colour. That's where the compliments stop. The hop aroma is light and grassy instead of pronounced and citrus sweet. The flavor is more sweet than hoppy, and in fact there is very little desirable hop characteristics whatsoever. The beer is reasonably enjoyable, but is certainly not an IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle) Hazy golden amber with decent whitish head. Aroma has biscuit and peppery spice. Nice palate; medium bodied with mouth filling soft carbonation. Taste is biscuity malt with some peppery notes and a steadily developing, rather harsh, bitterness that leaves a quite unpleasant aftertaste. Oval, rather disappointing, but quite drinkable.
