There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Aroma. Smells mainly of caramel with some slight hoppiness. Appearance. Pours a nice earthy red colour. Taste. Toffee and bread flavours really some to come through here, though with not too much sweetness, considering the lack of hoppiness i wouldn’t really call it an ipa. Overall. I bought this beer wanting to try a new ipa, whilst bean a good beer it certainly doesn’t deliver in the ipa department.

Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, floral, grain and grass. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with a long floral and grassy finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Quite tasteless and dry for being a IPA. Would have liked some more bitterness.

330ml bottle, thanks Ravo! Clear amber color. Small size, white head, stays. Malty, papery aroma. Malty, black pepper in taste. Malty body. Although BB says that this is good to drink it feels old. Dead if you know what I mean.

tuoksussa häiritsevän terävää viljaisuutta kuin joissain viljaisissa lagereissa. lämmetessä hedelmäisyys nousee enemmän esille ja terävä viljaisuus muuttuu pehmeämmäksi maltaisuudeksi.

Bottle from Cottier’s. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of grain and honey. Flavour of cardboard, orange and cereal. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Not great - barely a trace of hops.

Five finger head, light brown. Unbalanced, some malt, a little bite... Not much finish. Can barely detect hops. This beer sucks.

330ml bottle - surprise share - thanks!
Sticky mashy raw ESL aroma. Where are the hops? Plasticky. Rough. Not a good beer in any style. Messy big ESL malts. Actually, is this an ale? This is an ESL?

Bottle. Hazy dark gold. Inviting nose of caramel, overripe fruit, brown sugar and mild hops. Soft and round mouthfeel. Sweetness and bitterness battle it out nicely, but for me the sweetness gets over the line first. Something quite different to the IPAs popular in Australia now.

330ml bottle from M/S Viking XPRS shop. -clear amber colour, large off-white mostly lasting frothy head, good lacing. Moderately malty aroma of hay, fruit, cookie and nuts with moderate resiny, sprucey, spicy and citrusy hops. Taste is initally balanced bittersweet and slightly avcidic turning into a long moderately bitte finish with an astringent feel. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Not as insanely hoppy as IPA’s usually are these days, as the IBU’s in the label would indicate, quite pleasant and well balanced however and at 1.40€ a bottle by far the cheapest IPA I’ve come across in this part of the world.
