Bottle. Disappointed with this one. Headles with no bubbles. Standard macro down under lager with slightly sweeter tastes. Flat and unimaginative.

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a short frothy white head. Dusty and slightly sweet malty aroma with traces of hops. Medium sweet malty flavour and taste, slightly papery and fruity (honey); light to medium body, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Slim and very light-bitter, low-hopped finish with a tinge of metal. Rather disappointing but certainly drinkable.

Draught at The Craypot, Kaikoura. Clear golden, small head. Fruity and fairly sweet. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. There’s some grassy hops, but the rate appears very low. More pleasant malt flavours instead. Low bitterness. A fairly well made, Dortmunder-like lager on the malty side.

This was a pretty uninteresting beer. Light malt flavour, very little hop presence. I’m not about to rave about this beer.

Poured clear golden (surprise) orange with a small and short lived head. Malt and honey in the aroma, and some low hoppiness. A fairly neutral flavour with a bit of bitterness. The palate is pretty weak, but I’d have this over many of the other lagers I can get my hands on around here.

330 ml bottle. Rich golden colour and a thin white head. Ver faint aromas of pale malt and honey. Flavour is a little bit floral with notes of sweet malt and honey. OK, but not great.

Bottled, Pasteurised. Golden beer with carbonated head. Delicious aroma, citric, orangey, but a disapointing following flavour. Somewhat cardboardy with low hops and a flay flavour. Loosely malty and a little soapy. Good start but quickly declining.

This seems to get crapped on a fair bit in the ratings, but I liked it. Maybe I’ve had too many bad lagers lately. Standard pour of a clear gold colour with a decent head. Definitely something sweet in the aroma in addition to the malt presence, and the palate is gently malty with a crisp finish. Beats all the macro pale lagers I’ve tried lately.

Bright Golden Coloured beer with a white head that slowly fades to a thick ring. Some Lacing. Farly strong carbonation. aroma of pale malts and gentle hop notes. Some nice, but fast fading malt flavours. A fairly dry, fast finish. Mild bitterness, but well balanced, Overall a bit plain, jsut another generic lager, still better that most megaswill.

My sister brought this one back from New Zealand. Nice sweet aroma with faint hops. Good citrus character. Fairly normal pour, with quickly disappearing head and golden colour. The flavour is nice, not exceptional but a good citrus hop flavour followed by some good bitterness. This is a great dinner beer, or for watching rugby. I like it.
