The head is medium, the body blond. It smells malty, bit flowery, sweet. The taste is malty, flowery, thin and boring. 2.6

Poured clear dark amber with good white head. Aroma quite faint of light grains and only slight hint of hops. Taste is sour grains and not much else. Light bodied, slightly oily mouth-feel, short finish. Whar fruit whar?

Golden lager is definitely a marketing term. This is just your average run of the mill pale lager with a VERY slight fruity flavour.

On tap at the brewery in Greymouth, NZ Excellent clarity in this golden-amber ale. The aroma is quite light, perhaps even for style. The flavor is initially just as expected for a golden lager, but this beer has an appealing, and surprisingly malty finish. Well-crafted and balanced, as well as very fresh (of course). Feel: Light body with medium-high, very crisp carbonation. Clean, dry finish. O: recommended as a somewhat malty golden lager.

Not a bad one but still not impressive. Some apples with a bit of a hoppy background and some dust. Just missing a bit too be awesome.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious grainy and strawy aroma, hints of corn. Taste is rather expressionless, minimally grainy, soapy, strawy; one-dimensional, monotonous.

Monteith valt over het algemeen tegen. Ze weten heus wel te brouwen maar is naar mijn idee gebrouwen voor een groot publiek. Alles is erg vlak van smaak. Niet echt craftbeer te noemen.

Pours out of the bottle in a light golden colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of hops, barley and malt. Taste of ripe hops, hgreen grains, apples, flowers and cloves. Hints of straw. Refreshing - okay. But too dusty and dull.

Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma is brewing cereal with some malt. Taste is light. Quite watery. Nothing special.
