...bottle. Poured a clear darkish gold with no head. No carbonation, and had hints of malt on the nose. Flavor was not good, had something that just wasn’t right about it. Maybe I had too high of an expectation, but this one just wasn’t right. Had miniscule hints of cereal and grain, but that’s about it. Watery, no body or flavor like there should be for a golden lager. Finished dry with a bad aftertaste, very flat tasting.

Fairly good golden lager. Flavour is not overlly bitter, but not overly exciting. Pretty plain and dry tasting beer. A golden pour with a medium head.

Bottle in New Zealand. Golden beer with a lightly malty and dry aroma. The flavour is gently bitter. Overall an average plainly lightly dry and yeasty beer.

(On tap) Clear, golden with a dense, white head that leaves some laces. Lightly sweet aroma of malt and brewwing cereal. Medium body with fairly sweet malts and brewing cereal. A classic Kiwi lager - just with a bit more body. 250108

Bottle (330ml). Poured a rich gold with yellow highlights and a frothy white head. Aroma was musky with some hay, moderate malt, honey and citrus at the back. Taste was initially sweet and smooth with more honey followed by a mild bitterness with biscuity notes towards the end. Light bodied with a watery texture and short/sweet finish. Not to bad for a commercial larger.

Draught, a bright gold with a filmy head. A grassy hop aroma, but with a bready malt touch. A sweetish malt flavour, some ginger and a generous hop, but effervescent, palate. Crisp, but not too dry.
