COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Bottle. Hazy dark gold. Inviting nose of caramel, overripe fruit, brown sugar and mild hops. Soft and round mouthfeel. Sweetness and bitterness battle it out nicely, but for me the sweetness gets over the line first. Something quite different to the IPAs popular in Australia now.

330ml bottle from M/S Viking XPRS shop. -clear amber colour, large off-white mostly lasting frothy head, good lacing. Moderately malty aroma of hay, fruit, cookie and nuts with moderate resiny, sprucey, spicy and citrusy hops. Taste is initally balanced bittersweet and slightly avcidic turning into a long moderately bitte finish with an astringent feel. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Not as insanely hoppy as IPA’s usually are these days, as the IBU’s in the label would indicate, quite pleasant and well balanced however and at 1.40€ a bottle by far the cheapest IPA I’ve come across in this part of the world.

Bottle at M/S Rosella. English malty smell but very light. Taste is mild bitter with some sweet malt and a little fruits. Medium bitterness. Maybe the lightest IPAs I have tried.

33cl bottle from Viking Line/Gabriella. Bb 07/14. Clear dark golden, thick white head. Herbal, leafy, some citrusy hops in aroma. Flavor is mainly malty, herbal, lagery grainy almost. Some distant hops. Thin, bitter short finish. 1,40€ /bottle,I have had worse beer much more expensive than this.

Pours clear orange with white head.
Aroma malt, pils, bread, hay, little sweet, some pine.
Taste malty sweet, strange bitter.
Mouthfeel bad thin.
Not a good IPA.

Bottle from Viking Grace’s taxfree. Coppery clear. Murky old leafy, slight piney hoppy nose with some caramels, light bready English earthy- like. Medium full body, nice mouthfeel. But the flavour- isn’t quite cardboardy, but close. Really murky old. Has a good bitterness balance, but feels just old. BBE jun/14, so I assume this is what it should taste like.

An extremely disappointing beer. It’s not even remotely an IPA and it’s not a good pale ale. It’s shocking his costed me $7 considering what else is out there, step it up Monteiths!

Golden colour with a white head. Medium carbonation. The label states ’IPA’ but at just 35 IBU, this is stretching the definition. Citrus and pine aromas typical of cascade hop usage sonera grassy with a smooth malt usage. Easy drinking, but not a good example of the style
