There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Bottle at The Priory, Loughborough. Cloudy amber with slim white head. Aroma of citrus and malts. Quite well balanced in the taste, medium body, quite high carbonation. Enjoyed it.

Flaska i Uddevalla. Svag söt smöraktig doft. Smaken även den söt mer åt lager hållet. Finns malttoner svag lageraktig beska.

Bottle. Pours totally clear copper with small white head. Nose has sweetness, vanilla, lagery yeast. Slightly bitter with maltiness. More a hopped lager than an IPA.

Light citrus aroma. Flavour is bitter and lemony. Could have gone being a bit cooler. Serviceable.

Bottle, 5.5%. Clear orange/amber with big tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hop, notes of peach, grass and a little toasted. Flavour is malt, caramel, grainy, medium sweet, hop, little bitter, little thin, grass and a little grapefruit.

Bottle at Potters Bar, Meir Heath (Marston’s) Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of caramel, herbs, brambles, some pepper, subtle peppermint and grassy hops. Taste of caramel, herbs, subtle grapefruit, some pepper, orange and grassy hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, grainy finish. Really disappointing for an IPA, more like a lager.

Bottle. Close to clear in the glass, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is quite malty and oxidized, with some perfumed hints and grass. It’s medium to full-bodied and lightly carbonated, semi-sweet, with malty flavors. Bread, oxidized malts and grass. Some bitterness. Lasting finish. Not much IPA’ish going on here. 150524
